As our city begins to pick up the pieces, Open Architecture Houston is working with partners and our international network of chapters to strategize how we must serve the Houston community. We plan to be involved in long-term recovery, advocacy, and training efforts to provide safe housing and help Houston be more resilient for the next storm. In the meantime, we know many of our members are eager to volunteer to help those in need. We will continue to post volunteer opportunities from other organizations working around the city to our social media outlets.

Volunteers are needed to assist in running the BakerRipley shelter for Harvey evacuees at NRG Center.
Avenue’s HomeOwnership Center is shifting its counseling services to provide disaster recovery counseling which will involve helping Houstonians rebuild in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
In response to Harvey -- we are mobilizing to source necessary materials needed to rebuild resilient homes.
5th Ward Redevelopment Corporation
Still in need of cleaning or mucking support post #hurricaneharvey? Is your home in the 77003, 77020, 77026 and 77028 zip codes? Houston's Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation is accepting applications from homeowners needing support. Our volunteer teams are providing services weekly.
Rebuilding together Houston
